Which services do we offer?

Catering

Our experienced catering staff have been working in catering for many years and ensure good quality home cooked meals are prepared to a high standard. A well-balanced menu is provided, catering for specific dietary needs, e.g., diabetic, vegetarian. Residents are consulted regularly regarding their choice of food, and any required changes are implemented quickly. Residents can choose to have their food in the dining room, or in their own rooms.

Laundry

We wash and iron all of our residents’ laundry. We do ask, however, that all of their clothing is labelled and suitable for washing in a commercial grade washing machine. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage sustained during the normal laundering process. Any items that require specialist dry-cleaning or alteration are the responsibility of the resident or relative.

Activities in-house

We attempt to make it possible for our residents to live their lives as fully as possible. The Home employs a member of staff to fulfil the role of an activities coordinator who plans and directs daily activities. As part of this role, they also enlist external entertainers.

A wide variety of activities and events are arranged to suit the needs of the residents. These are displayed on the notice board in the hallway. The staff encourage residents to participate in the in-house activity programme which include:


Lavender house is now opening the doors to welcome back Day care visitors from 6am to 8pm Monday to Friday and  from £8 per hour .

Places of interest

For those who do not wish to participate in a group environment we are able to offer one to one activities. Resident meetings are arranged to ensure that all our residents can participate in the planning and their choices and wishes can be heard.
