We can arrange hairdressers , opticians and chiropodist services to visit the home at a cost to the resident.
We are a 20 bed residential care home.
Our experienced catering staff have been working in catering for many years and ensure good quality home cooked meals are prepared to a high standard. A well- balanced menu is provided, catering for specific dietary needs, e.g., diabetic, vegetarian.
Residents are consulted regularly regarding their choice of food, and any required changes are implemented quickly. Residents can choose to have their food in the dining room, or in their own rooms.
The home has two cordless telephones, which residents can use for incoming/outgoing calls. This service is provided free of charge. Residents may have a private line installed into their own bedrooms should they wish, the cost to be met by the resident, or use a mobile device.
Maintaining contact with family, friends and the local community is an important part of daily life and those residents who wish to continue these links will be encouraged and supported to do so. The Home operates an ‘Open House’ policy towards visitors to the Home, when possible and follows National Guidelines. We would usually encourage relatives, friends and other voluntary organisations to visit the Home during the day. Visitors can visit their relative at a time convenient to them, however, we do operate a protected meal times policy.
At present, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are operating an appointment system where visits are required to be booked in advance. Visits then take place in a Covid secure area. Residents can usually receive visitors when and where they choose e.g., their bedroom, the lounges or in the garden (weather and Government Guidelines permitting)
